Los futbolistas juarenses y de Bravos, Kenneth Martínez y Juan Ignacio López, calificaron a los dieciseisavos de final del Mundial Sub-17 con la Selección Mexicana, luego de terminar como uno de los mejores terceros lugares de la Fase de Grupos.
México enfrentará a Argentina en los dieciseisavos de final el viernes 15 de noviembre a las 7:45 am hora de Ciudad Juárez (8:45 am hora del Centro de México) en la Cancha 2 del Aspire Zone de Qatar.
El equipo Tricolor terminó con 3 puntos en el Grupo F tras derrotar 1-0 a Costa de Marfil y caer frente a Suiza con marcador de 3-1 y contra Corea del Sur con resultado de 2-1.
Kenneth Martínez tuvo acción en 2 partidos en esta Fase de Grupos y sumó 73 minutos sobre el terreno de juego. Juan Ignacio López también tuvo participación en 2 partidos en esta primera ronda del Mundial Sub-17 y suma 63 minutos en la cancha.
